SUNNYVALE, Calif. — A maker of software for cloud data protection and management is helping companies safeguard essential customer data that their sales and marketing teams depend on to drive revenue.Â
Druva released the sfApex offering for its Druva Cloud Platform to help Salesforce users manage and protect “mission-critical” customer relationship management (CRM) data, according to the company last month.
Druva acquired sfApex and its flagship product in November 2020.
The venture capital-backed company integrated sfApex into its software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to help the over 150,000 Salesforce clients govern their CRM data.Â
The offering is designed to secure data from malicious attacks, be available on demand in the event of unplanned outages and maintain compliance “without impacting costs or agility.”
sfApex is set up to help deliver unified protection, backup and recovery for applications through the Druva Cloud Platform.
“Salesforce has become the lifeblood to organizations, empowering sales and marketing teams with information that enhances the customer experience, fills the sales pipeline and drives business growth,” said Prem Ananthakrishnan, VP of products, Druva.Â
“However, the criticality of its data often is not appropriately matched by its level of protection, leaving organizational data increasingly at risk.”
Christophe Betrand, a senior analyst at ESG, said as organizations use Salesforce to support digital transformation initiatives, “keeping this data available, protected and compliant has become a business-critical function.”
Betrand said Druva’s solution can help Salesforce administrators automate regular data protection tasks.
The Druva Cloud Platform is built on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The company has thousands of clients, including over 50 of the “Fortune 500.”
Druva is funded by several investors: Sequoia Capital, Viking Global Investors, CDPQ, Neuberger Berman, Tenaya Capital, Riverwood Capital and Nexus Partners.Â
